This novella started off as a subplot in REMNANTS OF MAGIC, but I made the decision to cut it, though I loved the storyline. Later, I decided that it would make a great companion novella and published it separately. Over time, however, I realized that the plot was too intertwined with REMNANTS OF MAGIC and decided to place it back where it belonged. So, long story short, COLD MAGIC is no longer available as a novella, but the story is alive and well within the latest edition of REMNANTS OF MAGIC and will continue on in PINNACLE OF MAGIC.
